- Pixfra™ Arc LRF A625 Pro Thermal Monocular w/Laser Rangefinder (640x512 12µm Detector/25mm Lens)
What is the detection range of the Pixfra Arc LRF A625 Pro, and how far can the laser rangefinder measure?
The monocular features a high sensitivity 640×512 thermal sensor and a 25mm f1.0 lens, allowing it to detect a thermal signature (such as a large animal or human) at a distance of up to 1,300 meters. Meanwhile, its seamlessly integrated precision Laser Rangefinder (LRF) can provide fast distance measurements up to 1,000 meters with an accuracy of ±1 meter.
What makes the image quality on the "Pro" A625 model different from other thermal monoculars?
The Arc LRF A625 Pro stands out due to its combination of a large 640×512 resolution (12µm pixel pitch) sensor and an incredibly low sub20mK NETD thermal sensitivity. In thermal imaging, a lower NETD value means the sensor can distinguish minute differences in temperature. At <20mK, this monocular delivers rich, highly defined images that can pick up microanatomical details of an animal even in challenging conditions like heavy fog, rain, or dense brush. It also utilizes Pixfra's PIPS 2.0 (Pixfra Image Processing System) to minimize background noise and boost contrast.
What battery type does it use, and how long does it last?
The device is powered by a single, replaceable 18650 rechargeable lithium battery, which provides up to 6 to 7 hours of continuous operation (depending on temperature and whether features like WiFi or the LRF are active). The monocular typically ships with two 18650 batteries and an external charger, allowing you to quickly swap batteries in the field for up to 14 hours of total use. It also features a USB Type-C port for direct charging or connecting an external power bank.
Can I record video or stream the live view to other devices?
Yes. The Pixfra Arc LRF A625 Pro includes built-in video and snapshot recording with audio capabilities, saved directly onto its 32GB of internal storage. Furthermore, it has integrated WiFi connectivity. By downloading the Pixfra Outdoor App, you can connect up to four smartphones or tablets to the monocular's hotspot simultaneously, allowing a group to view the live thermal feed from up to 20 meters away without needing to share the physical viewfinder.
How durable is the device for harsh outdoor environments?
The monocular is built for rugged field use, utilizing a lightweight but robust magnesium alloy housing that protects the delicate internal optics from everyday bumps and drops. It carries an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is completely dust-tight and can survive being submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. It operates efficiently in extreme weather, with a functional temperature range spanning from -30°C to +55°C.
