Does the ballistic calculator on the Ace H50R work automatically with the Laser Rangefinder (LRF)?

Yes. When you activate the built in 1200m LRF to measure the distance to your target, the internal ballistic software instantly calculates the bullet drop based on your pre loaded ammunition profile. It then displays an adjusted aiming point (holdover mark) directly on the screen, allowing you to make precise holdover adjustments quickly without manual calculations in the dark.

What is the benefit of the F0.9 lens over standard thermal scopes?

Most high-end thermal scopes use an F1.0 lens. The Ace H50R features a larger F0.9 objective lens, which allows roughly 20% more thermal radiation (infrared light) to reach the sensor. In real world UK hunting conditions like a damp, foggy winter night with minimal temperature variance this translates to a much cleaner image, sharper target boundaries, and better background detail.

How does the "Ocular Zoom" differ from standard digital zoom?

Traditional thermal scopes rely strictly on digital extraction zoom, which stretches the pixels and makes the image blocky or blurry the closer you zoom in. The Ace H50R’s new Vision+ system utilizes a physical ocular zoom mechanism combined with a massive 2560x2560 round AMOLED display. This allows you to scale up the image optically to prevent pixelation, maintaining a highly detailed view even at higher magnification.

What is the battery setup, and will it survive a full night of foxing?

The scope uses a dual battery system designed specifically to eliminate power anxiety on long winter nights. It features a built in 4000mAh battery supplemented by a standard, replaceable 18650 battery. It provides up to 6 hours of continuous use on a single charge. If you run out of power, you can swap out the 18650 cell in the field without turning off or resetting the scope.

Can I review my shots directly on the scope while in the field?

Yes. Unlike many older thermal units that require you to transfer files to a phone or PC to view them, the Ace H50R has a built in Gallery feature. You can replay recorded videos (including recoil activated clips) directly on the scope's high resolution round screen while standing in the field, making it easy to confirm a clean hit or see where a shot went.

Does it require a specialized mounting system for UK rifles?

No, it mounts similarly to standard traditional day scopes. The Ace H50R uses a familiar day scope style tube design, meaning it can be mounted to your rifle using standard 30mm or specialized scope rings onto a Picatinny rail or traditional rifle bases. This makes it highly adaptable to common UK stalking and foxing setups without needing proprietary, expensive rail adaptors.

We use DPD , RoyalMail, TNT and UPS courier services for all our orders whether dispatching to the UK or International. As soon as your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with your unique tracking number. We are unable to add delivery notes to your order regarding safe spaces or neighbour deliveries. If you require this service it can be arranged directly with the courier once the parcel is in their network.

IN-STORE ITEMS

These are items that we have in-stock and will be sent out for delivery as soon as possible. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days, but during busy periods dispatch may be delayed by a day or so. These are usually items that are going to be out-of-stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. In rare occasions, these dates can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend staying in contact with Optics Warehouse depending on the product lead time.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY & TAXES

In addition to the above information If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. Optics Warehouse advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities. Cross border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities which means some packages may be opened and re-sealed.
