Element XT 1 Inch Low Dovetail Rifle Scope Ring Mount
If you want a simple, reliable low-profile mounting solution for a 1-inch scope, the Element Optics XT 1 Inch Low Dovetail Rifle Scope Ring Mount is a solid no-nonsense choice. It’s designed to give you a lightweight but secure way to mount your optic without adding unnecessary bulk or complexity. The low height keeps your scope sitting nice and close to the rifle, which helps with a more natural cheek weld and a consistent shooting position. Despite being budget-friendly in the XT range, it still feels properly solid, with CNC-machined aluminium construction and tight tolerances that keep everything aligned once it’s torqued down correctly. It’s basically a fit-it-once, trust-it mount for simple and dependable setups.
-Nathan (Technical Advisor)

Element Optics have designed the XT Mounts to be structurally solid, with looks to compliment the sleekest of rifle setups. There is something for everyone. These are available for 30mm and 1” body tubes, and in a variety of height options.

1. What size scope does this mount fit?
It is designed specifically for 1-inch scope tubes.
2. What rail system does it use?
This version is made for dovetail rails, not Picatinny.
3. What does “low” height mean?
Low height keeps the scope closer to the barrel for better cheek weld and a lower overall shooting profile.
4. What is the height of the low version?
The low dovetail version is approximately 22.7mm base-to-centre height.
5. What material is it made from?
It is made from 6061 aluminium for a balance of strength and light weight.
6. Is it strong enough for recoil?
Yes, it is designed to hold zero reliably under normal recoil when properly torqued.
7. What tools are needed for installation?
A T15 Torx bit is typically required for fitting and adjustment.
8. Can it be over-tightened?
Yes, over-torquing can damage both the rings and scope tube, so proper torque settings are important.
9. Is it good for hunting or target shooting?
It works well for both, especially lightweight hunting rifles and simple target setups.
10. Is it a premium mount?
It’s more of a budget-friendly, functional mount rather than a high-end precision system, but still well made for its category.

Measure the outermost diameter of your scope’s objective bell (including any flare).
Measure the thickness of any scope cover if used. If none, leave as 0.
Measure from the top of the rail to the highest point of the barrel.
We add a little extra clearance to account for real-world variation. Default is +1 mm.
Enter your measurements above to calculate the lowest ring height (base-to-centre) you can realistically use.
(A + 2×B) / 2 − C + TWhere A = objective outer diameter, B = cover thickness, C = rail-to-barrel clearance, T = tolerance.
