Will this hydration system fit into any backpack, or only Eberlestock bags?

While this bladder is custom tailored to integrate perfectly with the dedicated hydration pockets, louvered portals, and harnesses found on Eberlestock packs, it has a universal design. It will work flawlessly with almost any brand of backpack that features standard hydration sleeves or hanging hooks. (Note: It is compatible with almost all Eberlestock bags, with a few exceptions like the X1 series).

How do I fill the bladder while out on the trail?

The system is designed with a convenient dual fill option to make refills quick and easy. Depending on your preference or water source, you can slide off the top clip for wide open end access (great for scooping from streams or adding ice cubes), or you can use the traditional screw off cap, which is standard Nalgene size.

Does the water take on a plastic taste over time?

No. The bladder features a specialized Glass-Like™ inner liner. This advanced layering material is smooth and non porous, meaning it actively prevents bacteria buildup and eliminates that unwanted "plastic" chemical taste, ensuring your water always tastes fresh.

How does the drink valve operate?

The bladder comes equipped with a Storm Push Pull Valve, which operates similarly to a high quality bike bottle. You simply pull it out to open the flow and push it back in to lock it shut. It also includes an integrated dirt shield cap to keep the mouthpiece clean when you set your pack down.

Can I use this hydration system in freezing temperatures?

Yes, it is built to handle rugged four season conditions. The drink tube is entirely wrapped in a woven insulated cover to help keep water cool in the summer and prevent the water inside the tube from freezing during late season or winter treks.

How do I properly clean and maintain the bladder?

Because of the ultra smooth inner liner, the bladder requires very little maintenance and is inherently dirt resistant. For standard cleaning, simply rinse it out and hang it upside down to dry. If you use hydration tablets or drink mixes, it is recommended to wash it thoroughly with warm water and mild soap after use, utilizing a bladder brush kit to clear out the tube.

What sizes are available, and how do I choose the right one?

The bladder is available in both 2-Liter and 3-Liter capacities. If you are going on short day hikes or weight is a primary concern, the 2L option is ideal. For multi day backcountry trips, intense hunting excursions, or hot environments where water sources are sparse, the 3L model is highly recommended.

COURIERS

We use DPD , RoyalMail, TNT  and UPS courier services for all our orders whether dispatching to the UK or International. As soon as your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with your unique tracking number. We are unable to add delivery notes to your order regarding safe spaces or neighbour deliveries. If you require this service it can be arranged directly with the courier once the parcel is in their network.

IN-STORE ITEMS

These are items that we have in-stock and will be sent out for delivery as soon as possible. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days, but during busy periods dispatch may be delayed by a day or so. PRE-ORDER ITEMS

These are usually items that are going to be out-of-stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. As soon as the item is back in stock yours will be dispatched within 24 hours where possible. Please see individual product pages for current back-in-stock dates. In rare occasions, these dates can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend staying in contact with Optics Warehouse depending on the product lead time.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY & TAXES

In addition to the above information If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. Optics Warehouse advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities. Cross border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities which means some packages may be opened and re-sealed.

A NOTE ABOUT DPD SHIPMENTS:

• Please be advised that we have now introduced DPD Pins to all DPD orders from Optics Warehouse.
• If your shipment is being sent from Optics Warehouse via DPD you will be sent a Pin Code that must be shown to the courier upon delivery.
• The pincode is sent VIA email & TEXT message. A valid email address and mobile number must be provided at checkout. Emails will be sent from "Riviera House 3PL" - if you do not receive this email please check your junk or spam folders.
• Please note that if you do not display your pin code to the courier driver upon delivery, you will not be able to have your item and you may need to schedule another delivery date to show a valid pin.
