The Caldwell Lead Sled DFT 3 is one of the most popular and advanced shooting rests in the Lead Sled® family, designed to deliver benchrest accuracy while drastically reducing recoil. Featuring a robust dual frame construction, it is capable of handling the heaviest magnum rifles with ease. The redesigned frame retains its proven dual-tube system but now positions them beneath the weight tray, providing improved clearance for detachable magazines, pistol grips, and lever-action rifles. With a sliding frame adjustment of up to 6 inches, it accommodates virtually any stock length, ensuring a secure and custom fit for your firearm.
The benchrest-style front rest incorporates a smooth ball-bearing elevation system and precise, backlash-free windage adjustment, allowing shooters to fine-tune aim with absolute precision. Both the all-weather rubberised front rest bag and the rear support are designed to protect the rifle and scope, with the rear support featuring a shock-eliminating recoil pad and vibration dampener to further reduce felt recoil. The adjustable weight tray accepts Caldwell Weight Reservoir Bags, barbell plates, or lead shot, providing the ability to reduce felt recoil by up to 95% for a more comfortable and controlled shooting experience.
Measuring 23 to 30 inches in length with a width of 12.5 inches and a height adjustable between 11.75 and 14.25 inches, the Lead Sled DFT 3 weighs approximately 19 lbs. The rubberised front rest tapers from 2.5 inches down to 2 inches, offering excellent compatibility with a wide range of firearms, including those with longer handguards. A tie-down strap is also included, as found on the previous DFT 2 model, ensuring rifles are held firmly in place.

We use DPD , RoyalMail, TNT and UPS courier services for all our orders whether dispatching to the UK or International. As soon as your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with your unique tracking number. We are unable to add delivery notes to your order regarding safe spaces or neighbour deliveries. If you require this service it can be arranged directly with the courier once the parcel is in their network.
IN-STORE ITEMS
These are items that we have in-stock and will be sent out for delivery as soon as possible. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days, but during busy periods dispatch may be delayed by a day or so. PRE-ORDER ITEMS
These are usually items that are going to be out-of-stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. As soon as the item is back in stock yours will be dispatched within 24 hours where possible. Please see individual product pages for current back-in-stock dates. In rare occasions, these dates can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend staying in contact with Optics Warehouse depending on the product lead time.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY & TAXES
In addition to the above information If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. Optics Warehouse advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities. Cross border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities which means some packages may be opened and re-sealed.
