WHAT'S IN THE BOX

BASE Optics Heavy Duty Pan and Swivel Tripod w/ Ball Head and Saddle Clamp (18kg Load)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION(S)

1. What is this tripod designed for?

It’s designed for heavy-duty shooting and observation setups, including rifles, spotting scopes, and precision equipment.

2. What does the 18kg load rating mean?

It means the tripod can safely support up to 18 kilograms, making it suitable for larger rifles and more demanding setups.

3. What is a bowl pan and tilt system?

A bowl system allows fast levelling and smooth pan/tilt movement, giving you more control when tracking targets or adjusting position.

4. What is the saddle clamp for?

The saddle clamp securely holds your rifle in place, providing a stable, hands-free shooting platform without needing separate mounts.

5. How is this different from a standard tripod?

This is much more robust, with a higher load rating, smoother movement system, and better stability for heavier gear.

6. Is it suitable for long-range shooting?

Yes, it’s especially suited for long-range and precision shooting where stability and fine adjustment matter.

7. Can it handle heavy rifles?

Yes, the 18kg rating means it can comfortably handle large hunting rifles and heavy precision rifle builds.

8. Is it portable?

It’s more heavy-duty than lightweight hunting tripods, so it’s best suited for vehicle-based or short-carry field use rather than long hikes.

9. Does the ball head help with aiming?

Yes, the ball head provides smooth, multi-directional movement, making it easier to fine-tune your aim quickly.

10. Who is this tripod best suited for?

It’s ideal for long-range shooters, professional users, and anyone running heavier rifle setups who prioritise maximum stability over ultra-lightweight carry weight.
