1. What are the key specifications of the WULF Defender 30 5-25x50 ED MRAD scope?
The WULF Defender 30 5-25x50 MRAD features a 5-25x magnification range, a 50mm objective lens, a 30mm maintube, and an illuminated W-MIL4 Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle. It utilizes premium ED glass, crisp 0.1 MRAD turret adjustments, and a Side Focus parallax system.
2. What is the difference between the MRAD and MOA versions of the WULF Defender 30?
The main difference lies in the measurement system used for tracking and holdovers. This MRAD version uses a metric-based system where 1 click equals 0.1 Milliradian (1cm at 100 meters), whereas the MOA version uses imperial minutes of angle (1/4 MOA per click). It comes down to which calculation method you prefer to use in the field.
3. How does the W-MIL4 reticle work on the WULF Defender 30 5-25x50?
The W-MIL4 reticle is an etched-glass design that features precise, highly visible milliradian subtensions. These reference markings allow you to quickly calculate holdovers for bullet drop and wind drift directly through the lens without always needing to dial your turrets.
4. Why is ED glass beneficial on a long-range scope like the WULF Defender 30?
ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass ensures maximum light transmission and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration (color fringing). This provides the shooter with razor-sharp image clarity, enhanced contrast, and perfect target definition, which is essential when shooting at distances where regular glass gets blurry.
5. How do the Zero-Stop locking turrets function on this MRAD scope?
The Zero-Stop mechanism allows you to lock in your rifle's exact zero. After you dial your turrets up or out to hit a long-range target, you can quickly spin the elevation turret back down blindly, and it will stop precisely at your original zero point, preventing you from getting lost in your turret rotations.
6. Is the W-MIL4 reticle located in the First or Second Focal Plane?
This model features a Second Focal Plane (SFP) configuration. This means the W-MIL4 reticle stays the exact same size regardless of whether you are set at 5x or 25x magnification, keeping your crosshairs perfectly visible and clean without covering up too much of the target at maximum zoom.
7. What distance does the Side Focus parallax on the WULF Defender 30 adjust to?
The Side Focus (SF) parallax turret can be adjusted from a close-range 15 yards all the way out to infinity. This short-range focus capability makes the scope incredibly versatile, making it just as effective on precision rimfires and PCP air rifles as it is on long-range centerfire setups.
8. What type of illumination does the WULF Defender 30 5-25x50 MRAD feature?
The scope is equipped with a crisp, red illuminated center reticle with 6 levels of adjustable brightness intensity. Conveniently, it features alternating "off" positions between each brightness setting, allowing you to quickly power down the illumination to save battery.
9. What size scope rings do I need to mount the WULF Defender 30 MRAD?
The WULF Defender 30 is built using a highly durable, one-piece 30mm maintube milled from aircraft-grade aluminum. To mount it securely to your rifle, you will need to purchase a high-quality set of 30mm diameter scope rings.
10. What accessories are included with the WULF Defender 30 5-25x50 ED MRAD scope?
Inside the box, the scope comes fully equipped with a set of rugged flip-up lens covers to protect your ED glass, a matching screw-in sunshade to prevent glare on bright days, an adjustment tool for the turrets, and a microfiber lens cleaning cloth.
