THE PRIZE: Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 640x480 17um <25mK Laser Rangefinding Thermal Imaging Binoculars

Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 640x480 17um <25mK Laser Rangefinding Thermal Imaging Binoculars

After the huge success of the Pulsar Accolade XP50 PRO LRF the Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars were born. Featuring a 640x480 sub 25mK 17um thermal sensor and new larger display system and fast aperture F50 1.0 Germanium thermal lens there is massive improvement when comparing to the predecessor allowing more information to be received by the thermal sensor ultimately painting a better picture of the scene you are looking at. The new <25mk NETD sensor is highly sensitive and gives superb performance in low contrast environments which include rain and fog giving the ability to distinguish between the environment and the heat source easily to give an overall better ability to identify your target.

With an ultra-long 1800m detection distance the Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 has to be paired with an equally powerful laser rangefinder which is thankful does. The Pulsar Merger LRF comes with 1km capabilities meaning even the furthest targets can be ranged accurately. The latest image processing algorithms play a vital role in the improvement of performance of the Pulsar Accolade XP50 LRF taking into account different weather conditions and device operation scenarios giving a noise free image with increased object details and improved contrast.

The new Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 640x480 Thermal Binoculars have moved from a Bi-ocular thermal system to a traditional classic compact binocular design. Giving a full transferrable feel to your standard day optic binoculars taking into account the nature of human vision and allowing the eyes to adjust to receiving visual information through two channels simultaneously.

The upgrade to the traditional binocular chassis gives a less tiring viewing experience over a monocular and it allows for better detection of small or faint objects as well as an overall performance improvement in low contrast situations when compared to a similar thermal monocular with the same specifications. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 56 to 71 mm in accordance with the individual characteristics of a particular user.

They fit comfortably in the hand and are aesthetically pleasing to look at with six function buttons that placed in the comfort areas for easy access to the most used digital device functions within a single touch.

The Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 is powered by two independent rechargeable battery power sources giving up to 10 hours of continuous use. The built-in system has a capacity of 4ah and the second is a replaceable battery with the capacity of 3.2 AH.

FEATURES

Features

  • 2.5х-20x variable magnification - Digital zoom, up to 8x, provides improved focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x step or continuously for a truly optimum, customized field of view for the specific situation.
  • Long detection range - A powerful long-distance objective lens combined with a 640x480@17µm highly-sensitive thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m tall object can be detected up to 1800 m away in complete darkness.
  • Precise laser rangefinder - Understanding the target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometre allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meters for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
  • High definition thermal imaging with 640x480 pixel @ < 25 mK NETD sensor - A high sensitivity sensor with < 25 mK NETD captures minimal temperature differences when observing in conditions of low-temperature contrast, as well as during rain or fog. The 640x480 pixel resolution ensures reliable identification of the target, high-quality visualisation of important anatomical features of the animal plus minute details of the surrounding landscape.
  • Comfortable viewing experience - The Merger LRF binoculars’ optical design fully takes into account the nature of human vision. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than similar monocular thermal imaging devices with the same technical level. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 56 to 71 mm in accordance with the individual characteristics of a particular user.
  • Latest image processing algorithms - The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are equipped with advanced image processing algorithms that show their effectiveness under different weather conditions and device operation scenarios. With the Merger LRF eyepieces, the user receives a new level of clear and noise-free imaging, with increased object details and improved contrast.
  • Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices - Built-in WiFi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publication on social media of photo and video content captured by the device or transfer to messengers, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Moreover, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
  • IPX7 Waterproof Rated - IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
  • High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing - Merger LRF is designed for constant, often hard use. A magnesium alloy housing is light and strong at the same time. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively removes the heat from electronics and increases the consistency of the device operation during long-term observation.
  • Improved Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4 / 5 GHz waveband support - In Merger LRF thermal imagers, the standard smartphone connection frequency range via a 2.4 GHz WiFi channel is complemented with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.
