The Caldwell Fire Control Full Length Shooting Rest is basically one of Caldwell’s most advanced benchrest systems, built for people who want maximum control over rifle alignment without constantly moving or re-adjusting the setup. It uses a heavy, rigid frame (around 15 lb / 6.8 kg) with a full-length cradle that supports both the forend and rear of the rifle, giving a very stable, “locked-in” shooting platform. The standout feature is the Fire Control system, a multi-directional control arm that lets you make smooth one-handed windage and elevation adjustments while keeping your shooting position unchanged. Instead of loosening knobs or shifting the rifle, you just move the control arm to keep the crosshairs on target, which makes fine alignment and follow-up shots much faster and more consistent. Caldwell Fire Control Full Length Shooting Rest

Caldwell's team of engineers has developed a series of rifle rests that incorporate their new "Fire Control" mechanism. "Fire Control" is an advanced alignment system that allows the shooter continual, one-hand adjustment of downrange crosshair alignment via a multi-directional control arm.

The Fire Control mechanism allows continuous adjustment of the front forend support by manipulating the control arm with your fingertips. Once the coarse adjustments have been made to position the rest, the control arm allows fluid movement for precise crosshair alignment without having to change shooting position to loosen or tighten rest components. The end result is unmatched control of crosshair alignment in a rock solid shooting platform which delivers better accuracy than any existing rest.

This revolutionary development allows accuracy and speed previously unavailable in conventional rifle rests. The continuous precision adjustment of Fire Control allows the crosshairs to easily and quickly be manipulated as the shooter maintains a perfectly relaxed shooting position. Fire Control will give you the confidence of knowing your crosshairs will be precisely aligned as the trigger breaks. Providing control right up to the point of trigger break greatly enhances accuracy potential. Rests with fixed adjustment systems require the last micro alignment to come from leaning, pushing or pulling slightly on the gun and or rest, thus greatly limiting accuracy.

Another inherent benefit to the Fire Control rests is ease and speed of realignment after recoil. No more moving the entire rest back into position or loosening knobs and turning screws to realign. With up to 60" of windage and elevation adjustment at 100 yards, getting back on target instantly after recoil from a previous shot is at your fingertips via the control arm.

In addition to the precision alignment mechanism, these rests are built to exacting tolerances and specifications to provide the rock solid performance Caldwell is known for.

Both Shooting Rests include: Stainless Steel Leveling Feet, Forend Stop, Medium Profile Filled Front Bag and 3-lobe bag for wide forend rifles. The coarse elevation provides approximately 4" inches of adjustment at the rest. Adjustable tension of the control arm allows for customized resistance pressure via four nylon tipped set screws.

We use DPD , RoyalMail, TNT and UPS courier services for all our orders whether dispatching to the UK or International. As soon as your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with your unique tracking number. We are unable to add delivery notes to your order regarding safe spaces or neighbour deliveries. If you require this service it can be arranged directly with the courier once the parcel is in their network.

IN-STORE ITEMS

These are items that we have in-stock and will be sent out for delivery as soon as possible. We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days, but during busy periods dispatch may be delayed by a day or so. PRE-ORDER ITEMS

These are usually items that are going to be out-of-stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. In rare occasions, these dates can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend staying in contact with Optics Warehouse depending on the product lead time.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY & TAXES

In addition to the above information If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. Optics Warehouse advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities. Cross border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities which means some packages may be opened and re-sealed.
