The Caldwell BR Foot Pads are basically a simple but really useful add-on for your shooting rest if you use it on hard surfaces like a bench or table. Instead of the metal spiked feet scratching or sliding around, these rubber-coated metal washer pads give you a stable, non-slip base and stop your setup from chewing up the surface underneath. They just sit under the feet, lock things in place better, and make the whole rest feel more solid and controlled when you’re shooting. They’re small, cheap, and easy to lose if you’re not paying attention, but they genuinely make a difference in stability and bench protection, especially on concrete or wood surfaces where the spikes would normally dig in or slip around.

Caldwell The Rock BR Competition Shooting Rest

#440907

The Caldwell The Rock BR Competition Shooting Rest is basically Caldwell’s proper benchrest-level setup for shooters who want maximum precision and repeatability without going full custom competition gear. It uses a heavy cast-iron base (around 13 lb) with stainless steel adjustable feet so you can level it properly on any bench, and a ball-bearing-supported cradle system that gives very smooth, controlled movement when making fine adjustments. The rest includes both a filled medium varmint bag and an unfilled 3-lobe bag, so you can swap support styles depending on whether you’re using narrow sporter barrels or wider fore-ends. It also has fingertip windage and fine elevation adjustment (up to ~11.5"), which lets you make very precise corrections without disturbing the rifle position. It’s designed specifically for accuracy-focused bench shooting and competition-style grouping work rather than portability or casual use.

DESCRIPTION

Caldwell BR Foot Pads

3 Caldwell BR Foot pads ONLY, metal spikes not included Caldwell BR Foot pads are designed to provide a stable, non-marring solution that keeps the spiked metal feet of your front rest from gouging or scratching the tabletop of your shooting bench.

BR Feet are rubber coated, metal washers that allow the shooting rest's spiked metal feet to nest in the washer to provide a firm, no-slip footprint while protecting your tabletop.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION(S)

1. What are Caldwell BR Foot Pads used for?
They’re used to stop the spiked feet of a shooting rest from scratching or damaging your bench while also improving stability.

2. Do they replace the original feet on the rest?
No, they don’t replace anything. They sit under the existing spiked feet.

3. What are they made of?
They’re rubber-coated metal washer-style pads designed to hold the spikes securely.

4. How many come in a set?
They usually come as a set of three pads.

5. Will they fit any shooting rest?
They’re designed mainly for Caldwell BR-style rests, but they can work with similar spike-foot setups.

6. Do they actually improve stability?
Yes, especially on smooth surfaces like wood or concrete benches where spikes might slip or wobble.

7. Can they be left attached to the rest?
No, they’re loose pieces, so you place and remove them when setting up or packing away.

8. Are they hard to use?
Not at all, you just position them under the feet before shooting.

9. Do they wear out quickly?
Not usually, they’re pretty durable since they’re metal with rubber coating.

10. What’s the main downside?
They’re easy to misplace because they’re small and not permanently attached.
