The WHFTA British Open is back!

Typically WHFTA hosts the HFT World Championships every year but due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the problematic and uncertain event and travel arrangements, the WHFTA organisation was left with a very difficult decision; cancel the event for another year or make something happen!

So obviously not to be undeterred, we decided to make something happen! This gave rise to the WHFTA 2021 British Open.

In excess of 300 Competitors from around the world will carry out the annual pilgrimage to see who will be crowned WHFTA 2021 Champion! With 120 points up for grabs, HFT competitors will do battle on some of the most challenging HFT courses of the year. Competitors will be using some of the most advanced airguns, equipment and shooting techniques that are currently available on the planet right now. A plethora of the leading airgun manufacturers are proudly represented by HFT’s finest!

Over two days, HFT competitors will try to meticulously navigate their way through 60 demanding and cunningly placed targets set in some of Yorkshire’s premium and most picturesque woodland. The person who can; maintain their composure, get the most out their equipment and exercise the highest levels of concentration will of earnt the WHFTA 2021 British Open Title!

The airgun community, after hearing our rally cry, has collectively come together to support this event. The reception from the entire airgun shooting community has been hugely positive and also humbling. The quality of the people involved in our community is unparalleled! We are hugely grateful for all of your support and we vouch to continue all of our hard work so we can all continue to have world-class events such as this.
