Long Range Shooting is considered to be measured in a distance between 300 and 1200yards. Wikipedia defines Long Range Shooting as "a collective term for shooting disciplines where the shooter has to engage targets at such long distances that he has to calculate ballistics, especially with regard to wind."

A Scope with a High Magnification is very important along with a wide Objective Lens, which improves the image quality at the high end of the Scope's magnification range due to high amounts of light transmission.
