These are our top picks for Air Rifle Night Vision. We've chosen these based on our experience of using these scopes in the field.
Night vision units come in a few different designs:
‘Add on units’
Add on units connect to the front or back of the scope and use the scopes reticle and magnification. These work best on scopes without advanced lens coating as this can stop the infrared light from being detected by the unit. Objective lenses with a larger diameter are preferred for greater light gathering, which gives you a better sight picture and makes it easier to detect your quarry.
Digital Units
Digital units are designed to be used as standalone night vision scopes. They have all the features of a standard scope built into the unit. Units like ATN are built to work in day or night conditions so you don't need to switch scopes between day and night. This also helps with zeroing and setting

These are our top picks for Air Rifle Hunting. We've chosen these based on our experience of using these scopes in the field.
Simplicity and wide field of view is the key when hunting. This means you can find your quarry and dispatch of it quickly and cleanly. A scope with 1-16x magnification is more than adequate in most hunt scenarios.
Reticles
Reticle choice depends entirely on what you are shooting. Air rifles have a 'loopy' trajectory so mil-dot or mil-hash reticles are very useful. If you use a bracketing system, this will also help you to rangefind. Generally speaking scopes made for use with air rifles will be parallax adjustable down to 10 yards, which means you're able to use the scope for dispatching vermin up close.
If you are going to be shooting in dusk or dawn conditions, illuminated reticles can be very useful in conjustion with night vision or lamping. Having an illumated reticle helps to pick out the reticle

These are our top picks for Air Rifle Benchrest Shooting. We've chosen these based on our experience of using these scopes in the field.
Benchrest shooting requires pin-point accuracy, and you need to be able to see exactly where you are aiming. With this in mind, a fine crosshair can be very helpful as it doesn't obstruct the shooter's view of the target or point of impact. There are a few scopes available that are dedicated to benchrest shooting, all of which have large magnification and fine crosshairs with centre dots. Due to restrictions in some competitions, these scopes generally tend to be quite light weight.
The scope must track straight and true so you can achieve the best possible score, so accurate and precise clicks are a must. Generally, benchrest shooters prefer 1/8 clicks, although other click adjustments work too, and a lightweight scope body tocomply with weight restrictions found in most benchrest competitions.

These are our top picks for Air Rifle Hunter Field Target Shooting. We've chosen these based on our experience of using these scopes in the field.
Overview:
Most Hunter Field Target (HFT) competitions are shot at a range of 8 - 45 yards. Scope adjustment is prohibited during the competition, meaning you'll need a scope with a large depth of view. Hunter Field Target shooters generally prefer scopes with magnification between 6-12x.
Magnification:
For HFT Shooting, keeping to a low magnification I key can help to increase depth of field, meaning you can see a greater distance clearly without adjusting the parallax. The favoured magnification is 10x as it gives a good balance between depth of field and ability to see the target clearly.
Reticle:
Reticle choice can have a big impact when it comes to Hunter Field Target shooting. It affects how accuractley
